Three washed Ethiopians, side by side
I bought three washed coffees from Ethiopia from two roasters and brewed them side by side with the same recipe: 15 g, 250 g, 93 °C, 20 clicks.
Yirgacheffe
Jasmine and lemon. Light body. This is the classic one, and it did not surprise me. That is not a complaint.
Guji
Peach and black tea. More body than the Yirgacheffe. My favourite of the three.
Sidama
Bergamot and something like honey. The cup was a bit muted at first and opened up as it cooled.
The tasting notes on the bags were not wrong, but they were more confident than my tongue. Let the cup cool. Most of the interesting flavour comes after five minutes.
